HA! I just figured out where the name Liam came from!!!

You see, I’m over at Flannery’s condo and I’ve got my suspicions, right? So I’m leading up to the question in conversation—which is pretty easy, after all, Liam is sitting in my lap. So, finally, I just come out and ask if it’s from the m**********************

I am so, so sorry, Kaye. I tried to make him stop. I really did.

No one knows better than I how incorrigible he is. And I also understand why you don’t want that information getting out to the general public. I’ll see if I can figure out how to better limit his access.

Last night there was a show on Natasha Richardson, daughter of Lynn Redgrave. Her husband’s first name is/was Liam. She died in a sking accident. That is the first time I ever heard that name although I have seen him in lots of movies. Recognized his face, but his name never registered.
    Eager to hear the explanation.

Tory Spelling has a son named Liam. I like that name. It’s unique because I don’t think it’s everyday that you hear that name ๐Ÿ™‚

He’s wondering if it’s from a movie called. . .? You never know what Jamie is going to try to tell us.

Gosh, I hope Liam (or Flannery?) didn’t kill Jamie or anything … ๐Ÿ˜›

“HA! I just figured out where the name Liam came from!!!”

Yes, it’s the Irish short form of William, which is (according to behindthename.com) “from the Germanic name Willahelm, which was composed of the elements wil ‘will, desire’ and helm ‘helmet, protection’ …the name was common among the Normans, and it became extremely popular in England after William the Conqueror was recognized as the first Norman king of England. It was later borne by three other English kings, as well as rulers of Scotland, Sicily (of Norman origin), the Netherlands and Prussia.”

Ha-ha –unfortunately, as a former home-schooler, I get that a lot. ๐Ÿ˜› But seriously, I’m just good at using internet search engines … and I have an (large) interest in first name origins and meanings.

This whole conversation had me laughing out loud!

So who’s going to skip straight to page 201 to satisfy their curiosity as soon as they get the book? I wasn’t even particularly interested in where the cat’s name came from, but NOW that I know exactly where the answer is….

LOL, I have a feeling this may be my favorite of the books. I can already tell I’m going to love Jamie (and that has nothing to do with the fact that he looks like a certain HOT 5-oh cop). This cracked me up and I will probably skip to page 201 first. Can’t be helped. ๐Ÿ™‚

The revelation on page 201 may not make a whole lot of sense if you don’t know what happens on pages 1 to 200!
