What did you think of the Season 10 premiere? How did you like Kate/Jennifer Love Hewitt?

Well, let me start with saying that I am a huge Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, I’ve seen every show she’s been in since Party of 5. So I might not be completely objective. When I heard that she would join the cast I was really excited, there was no doubt in my mind that she could play the role. But Criminal Minds’ past made me doubtful if she would get a fear shot at it.
She seemed to have an instant connection with every team member. Maybe that has to do with the fact that she’s done undercover work. I mean you need to be able to get into a role for that as well. From teasing Reid in the elevator, to being totally adorable with Garcia during that phone call. And the talk with JJ and Derek on the plane, comparing battle scars. Rossi’s always seems to be able to connect with everyone, even with Ashley Seaver – so he doesn’t really pose a challenge. And Hotch, well he decided within a couple of seconds that she could join the team. He sure made it a lot easier for her to join than he did with Emily when she started at the BAU.
But there are quite a couple of mysteries to uncover regarding this new character and I’m really excited to see what they can come up with! I’ve not read any spoilers so I have no idea what’s coming.
