For a couple of decades we have all gathered in Portland, Oregon for Thanksgiving. Usually after dinner we all ride the MAX to Powell’s Book Store. I have traveled there from Idaho with my daughters, one of whom now lives in Portland, and the other who hopes to by this fall. Both of my sisters, my dad and most of my nieces and nephews now live there, though no one in my generation grew up there. I hope when my sisters, brother, and I are too old to arrange this, that my nieces, nephews and daughters keep it going.

I’d have a hard time eating Boaz. Sounds like great fun, though.
