Once Youthful Sweethearts—Can Their Love Be Renewed?
When young Julia Witherington doesn’t receive the proposal for marriage she expects from William Ransome, she determines to never forgive him. They go their separate ways—she returns to her family’s Caribbean plantation, and he returns to the Royal Navy.
Now, twelve years later, Julia is about to receive a substantial inheritance, including her beloved plantation. When unscrupulous relatives try to gain the inheritance by forcing her into a marriage, she turns to the only eligible man to whom her father, Admiral Sir Edward Witherington, will not object—his most trusted captain and the man who broke Julia’s heart, William Ransome. Julia offers William her thirty-thousand-pound dowry to feign marriage for one year, but then something she never imagined happens: She starts to fall in love with him again.
Can two people overcome their hurt, reconcile their conflicting desires, and find a way to be happy together? Duty and honor, faith and love are intertwined in this intriguing tale from the Regency era.

An attack on the convoy gains Ned the promotion to commander he has long dreaded—especially once he discovers one of his midshipmen is actually Charlotte Ransome in disguise. After seeking Julia’s advice, Ned decides to keep Charlotte’s secret… and hopes to win her love. But another rumor has reached El Salvador’s ears: Julia Ransome has been kidnapped by the man feared by all other pirates—the pirate known only as Shaw. The violent and blood-thirsty savage from whom El Salvador was trying to protect her.

Kaye – I didn’t see any other way to get a message to you so I defaulted to this. I wanted to apologize that I haven’t been able to post a review of Ransome’s Honor. I received the book late and quite tattered. I think it took a tumble in our postal service. Anyway, I wanted to assure you I am reading it now and will post to Amazon, Shelfari, as well as my own website and blog. So sorry for the delay. I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn’t a slacker. Congratulations on the series. I will look forward to reading the other installments. Tamara
I just bought Ransome’s Honor last night. I finished it just a few moments ago. I couldn’t put the book down. The thought of having to wait patiently for the next two books is daunting. Assuredly, I will eagerly devour them when they are published. Thank you for this heart-encouraging story. It not only brought me hope and happiness in the reading, but reminded me to take my cares to God. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I just finished Ransome’s Honor, loved it. Can’t wait to read the others. Thank you!!!

I’m dying to read your third book. Couldn’t put down the last two. Congrats a million on all your success, Kiki!
I’m guessing that since the second one in this series isn’t even finished yet, you meant to post this on the other series’ page.
Thanks, dear, for the ‘grats!
I just got through reading Ransome’s Honor and I LOVED it!!!! I am anxiously awaiting the next two!
It is my enjoyable task to select books for our book club and after finishing “Ransome’s Honor this afternoon I will be adding it to our book club’s schedule. It’s a wonderful story and such a fresh approach to Regency romance! I so enjoyed it that I went to your website to find out when the next in the series will be released. Seeing the 2010 release date for the sequel was disappointing (I’m really looking forward to the continuing story of these characters and was hoping the wait would not be so far down the road), so I ordered “Stand In Groom” and “Menu For Romance” on Amazon expecting that your gift for storytelling will translate equally well to your contemporary books. I am very pleased to have discovered another wonderful writer and look forward to not only the 2 books now on order but also your future work!
I loved Ransome’s Honor! I read it in one night, staying up until 2:30 in the morning because I had to finish it before I could sleep, but it was so worth it! I am so excited to read the next books and cannot wait until they come out. I am now going to go buy some of your other books because they sound fabulous as well.
Kaye – I have read Ransome’s Honor twice and loved it more the second time. Can’t wait for #2 and #3. Love the Bonneterre series also. Waiting on Forbes’ journey.
