Who’s Up for a Writing Marathon Weekend?
Back before my local writing group disbanded, for years we held a “writing marathon weekend” every month. What that meant was making a commitment that from “after work” Friday evening until Sunday bedtime (or Monday, on a holiday weekend like this one), we’d try to get as much work done as possible on our stories/manuscripts in progress, whether that meant writing or editing or whatever other book-related work needed to be done.
I miss having an accountability group to do that with, so I thought I’d see if y’all would be interested in doing it. There are no prizes or penalties for meeting or not meeting your goal for the weekend—just the reward of having accomplished something.

I can’t commit to all weekend, but I’m shooting for Sunday after church and most of Monday. 20K words would be AWESOME!

You go, girl! I’m aiming for 3-4k, along with some research and possibly a rough outline of the story idea for The Spymaster’s Daughter.

I think I can do this. I need to make lots of progress on my WIP. And I also miss the accountability of a writing group.

What a great idea. Got a 3rd draft marked up ready to re-type, keep putting it off. This weekend I’ll get it done. Also need to start on 2nd part of a series – at the moment it’s all in my head – so Scrivener will be opened up and a new project created.
