The Ransome Trilogy Sailing Away :'(

Wednesday, December 4, 2013

I tweeted a little while ago that “Print versions of The Ransome Trilogy are being remaindered. Be sure to get your copies before they’re gone!”

The Ransome Trilogy

What this means is that Harvest House has decided that the print versions of the books aren’t moving well enough for them to continue to pay to warehouse all the unsold copies of them, and they will be discontinuing printing them. They’re also going to get rid of all of the back copies they have, inviting retailers to take on whatever additional stock of them they’d like before getting rid of whatever remains unsold.

If you’ve ever wanted print copies, or if you’ve ever wanted to give them as a gift to someone, now’s the time to do it.

I don’t know how many retailers will have the books in stock nor for how much longer, so if you think you might want them, now would be a good time to get them.

The good news is that they will continue to keep the ebooks available. So they’re not gone forever, just in print.

There are links to a bunch of retailers where you can order the print copies of the book (hopefully) on the series page: https://kayedacus.com/books/books-the-ransome-trilogy/

Well, boo!! I love them and am so glad that I have both physical copies and ebook versions of all of your books.

I am so sad to hear that! Even though I already have them I always hate to see books go out of print. I guess this means you can’t have the rights to them since the e-books will still be available.

Have you decided to put “The Heart That Waits” on the shelf for good? I really wish you would self-publish it. I think that title is very appropriate in this case! 🙂

The ebooks actually seem to be doing pretty well, so I’m fine with their decision to keep promoting and making those available.

Yes, THTW is on the shelf for the foreseeable future. I was struggling with it when the news came that B&H was shutting down the fiction line, and couldn’t figure out how to move forward with the story. None of the characters or situations were working for me at all. Maybe, someday, I’ll be able to go back to it and figure it out, but it’s a tangled mess that’s best left in the knitting basket for now.

I am also saddened to hear the news about The Ransome Trilogy. I just finished reading all three books and fell in love with them. In fact I wish you would write more books about the characters from the Ransome Trilogy. At the end of the last book, you never mentioned what eventually happened to James Ransome after his court martial. What about Philip Ransome? Doesn’t he deserve his own book?

I just finished reading Ransome’s Honor, I enjoyed it and will look to get my hands on the other two books in the series.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful historical romance and for reminding us that God’s love is a constant in our daily lives.

    A new fan
