I’d start with finishing the book I’m already reading: The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick.

Thats easy – I’d start with River God by Wilbur Smith. Any Wilbur Smith novel actually!!

Um, at the top of my “to read” pile is “She Walks in Beauty” by Siri Mitchell –I’ve never read any of her books yet, but I heard she’s a great author. I bought “The Silent Governess” and “The Girl in the Gatehouse” by Julie Klassen at the “going out of business” sale at my local Borders store (I can’t believe it’s closing, but the prices are consoling me for now …) she’s one of my new favorite authors. =)

I’d suggest starting with The Silent Governess (my favorite of Julie’s books to date) and then She Walks in Beauty (my favorite of Siri’s historicals to date). I haven’t read The Girl in the Gatehouse yet, so it’ll be interesting to hear what you think of it.

The Girl in the Gatehouse was good, but not as good as The Silent Governess, imo.

i wasn’t fond of either the silent governess or the girl in the gatehouse; but i really liked the apothetcary’s daughter by klassen. my favourite siri mitchell, thus far, is Love’s Pursuit…. I just finished Heart Most Worthy and really liked it — so romantic 🙂

Ooh, thanks for the suggestions everyone! I read her first two books and loved them –The Apothecary’s Daughter is my current favorite of hers as well … maybe because the main character was closer to my age? =D You guys are making me want to read those books even more! 😉

I have a stockpile of books to read. If I’m in the mood to re-read, I did pick up a sale copy of “Beguiled,” by Deeanne Gist and Mark Bertrand. LOVED that book, and it takes place in Charleston. I also came across a book I won not too long ago, “The Anonymous Bride,” by Vickie McDonough. It looks like a fun read. And then there’s Irene Hannon’s “Discarded Heroes” series . . .

I would start with the Bible. I try to read both the Old and New Testament in a year. I don’t always make it, but I try.
The I would try to finish Yesterday’s Tomorrow by Catherine West. It’s an interesting book for me since I saw a lot of footage of Vietnam War when it was happening. Brings back a lot of memories of those killed in the war.
If I have time, then I would start The Art of Romance by Kaye Dacus. I have no idea why I’m want to read that. 🙂

I just finished “The Hunger Games.” Next in my stack is my friend, Cindy Coloma’s book, “Orchid House.” Can’t wait to start it. There are too many good books out there…it’s like tea…I’m sad I’ll probably not get to read/try them all! But I’m going to give it a whirl!

Lord of the Rings. I actually took the time to read the Trilogy over Spring Break in College one year and would love to do that again.
