Brown-Out

Monday, October 4, 2010

I won’t say that I’m going completely dark for the next eleven days as I work on an edit project and finish writing The Art of Romance, but I will be limiting my access to the Internet during that time (closer to next Friday, it may be a complete blackout).

Feel free to talk amongst yourselves here, though. I’ll need to take coffee breaks every so often and come hang out at the water cooler to see what’s going on while I’m on deadline.

Happy Browning! I pray that God gives your fingers the speed to type those edits and those scenes like nobody’s business. 🙂

I just finished Love Remains and I think I read in the back that the next in the series is due out in the spring but then I think I read here that you were still working on the second in the series…if so…gulp…time cruncher for sure. I hope you’re the type of person who works best on a tight deadline!

Yes, The Art of Romance releases next May. But that’s the very book I’ll be writing the next two weeks, as it’s due October 15.

I will be praying that you can write with inspiration, enjoyment and ease! As much as we enjoy your blog posts don’t feel obligated to reply all the time. We want you to spend as much time as you need on this new book. 🙂 We will survive. 🙂

Well, as you drive toward the goal line, allow for a tiny bit of this, too:

Thanks for the well-wishes and prayers everyone!

Just had to come over and share, because I’m such a dork about loving fall/cool weather.

After sitting bundled up in the bed for an hour or so this morning working on the editing project (yes, I’ll get up, get my first cup of coffee, take it back to the bedroom, and sit in the bed with my laptop to check e-mails, read blogs and Facebook and Twitter, and then work), I finally got tired of being cold. I’d turned the HVAC off last night, because I do like it chilly in the house at night, because I get overheated at night. The thermostat showed that at 11:45 a.m., it was still only 64 degrees in the house (because it’s only in the upper 50s outside right now!). So today marks the first day I officially had to turn the heat on for the fall season of 2010! (I know, I know, remind me of this in January or February when I’m complaining about how I’m tired of my hands always being cold when I’m trying to work.)
