I haven’t read the book that won, but I’m sure it’s well-written, and deserved a Christy. I was intrigued by the blurb and may put it on my to-read list.

However, the blurb I saw only described the “suspense” plot, which, for me, tipped the scale (if I’d seen it in a store when I was looking for a romance, I wouldn’t have bought it.) Also, it’s a romantic suspense–romantic being the adjective, suspense being the noun. So I wonder why it wasn’t in the suspense/thriller category? I wish I knew more about how these categories work in CBA. The lines seem blurrier than in ABA.

Also, I wondered why SIG wasn’t listed as a first novel. I know it was the first one you sold, but did RH come out first?

Again, haven’t read the other book, but can I just say that if they’d judged from opening lines alone, yours would’ve won?

Experiencing it via chat was really fun. “See” you there next year!
