Another Fun Friday—Like Mother, Like Daughter

Friday, August 14, 2009

I posted this on Facebook, but not everyone gets to see my stuff there (mostly just family and close friends/colleagues).

Last night, after my post-exercise shower, when I was drying my hair, it struck me that I currently have almost the same hairstyle my mom had when she was my age:
Mom & Kat

I guess it’s true what “they” say about how we become just like our parents as we get older!

That’s so cute! I once found a picture of my mom and thought that it was me. Turns out when we were both about 8, we looked very similar. Isn’t it funny to see the family resemblence and the styles that come in and out of fashion? 🙂

I think my second and third sisters look more like my mom than I do. My nose is like my dad’s, but I suppose my smile is like my mother’s.

I don’t look my mom at my age.. I don’t think anyway. My SISTER however is almost an exact replica of her. We showed a high school pic of my mom to my 12 year old niece and she was like, “Oh, there’s Aunt Kari!” Very funny:-)

I am a copy of my mother. Who is a copy of her mother. Who is a copy of her mother. It might go back even further, but the photographic evidence stops there. I know almost exactly what I’m going to look like as I age!

I’m a duplicate of my Mom, too. The older I get, the more I look like her sister and not her daughter. She’s very young looking for her age, I hope I follow suit. Our hair is almost the same, but mine’s a little lighter.
