LifeWay Fiction Day 2009

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Here are some photos that June, the assistant manager at the LifeWay in Alexandria, Louisiana, was kind enough to e-mail to me of my book signing event for LifeWay’s annual Fiction Day this past Saturday. It was a wonderful event, and everyone at the store was wonderful. It was my best event to date, signing 14 books for customers and an additional 6 to leave behind for the store to sell later.

All of the photos can be viewed on my fan page on Facebook.

Love your haircut! šŸ™‚ I’m sooooo tempted to cut mine short again for the summer months ~ but it took me so long to grow it out.

p.s. was hoping it was going to be Alexandria, VA you were going to be visiting… šŸ™‚

They had my table set up facing the front doors of the store, so I was able to greet everyone as they walked in. Unlike other book signings I’ve done, I didn’t have to get up and chase down every single customer to hand them a bookmark or post card—because of the greeters the store had standing at the door who included pointing out the fact I was there doing a book signing to customers as they came in.

The only problem came in that they were giving away a book to the first fifty or so customers (one of the Love Finds You in… books) and a few customers thought that was the book I was signing. But only a few, and they were very gracious and understanding when I explained that wasn’t my book.

I’m so glad that it went well! I’ve been praying that you would have record sales, and be abundantly blessed in your writing.

P.S. I read the exterpts on your books, and now I really can’t wait to read the whole thing!

Congrats, Kaye, on such a successful signing. Those who bought Stand-in Groom are in for a real treat. I loved it.

And I’m with the others who said your haircut is great.
