The pirate El Salvador has haunted the waters of the Caribbean for almost ten years. When he snatched Charlotte Ransome, it was a case of mistaken identity. Now Charlotte’s brother, whose reputation in battle is the stuff of legend, is searching for him with a dogged determination. But another rumor has reached El Salvador’s ears: Julia Ransome has been kidnapped by the man feared by all other pirates—the pirate known only as Shaw: the violent and blood-thirsty savage from whom El Salvador was trying to protect her.
When word reaches William of Julia’s disappearance, his heart is torn—he cannot abandon the search for his sister, yet he must also rescue Julia. Ned Cochrane offers a solution: Ned will continue the search for Charlotte while William goes after Julia. William’s quest will lead him to a greater understanding of faith and love as he must accept help from sworn enemy and have faith that Julia’s life is in God’s hands.

#1: who is the woman on Ransomes Quest? Is she Julia or Charlotte or someone else altogether?
#2: Have you started casting for Ransomes Quest. I think you should consider Richard Armitage.

It’s Charlotte. And the casting for this book was done several years ago. I’ll reveal them in July, when I write a series of posts on Fridays with behind-the-scenes looks at the characters and story (and I’ll be giving away signed copies of the book, too).

I’ve been thinking of actor Matthew Goode as Commodore Ransome. His eyes are that lovely blue, blue. I’ve cast in my mind Kate Winslett as the lovely Julia and Emma Watson as Charlotte. 🙂

Great picks, Susan! You can see who I pictured as the characters on this post (keeping in mind I started writing this in 2005!): https://kayedacus.com/2011/07/08/ransomes-quest-character-introductions/

Kaye, where would one get a copy of the third book in this series? I have the first two, but I can’t seem to get the last one and I don’t want to read it until I have it all! I’m in Canada… Any suggestions?
