Not sure. I spent well over an hour last night going through the titles I already have on my Kindle, as well as through my wishlists on Amazon, Audible, and the public library, and nothing struck my fancy.

Here’s what I read in January. Books Read In January 2015
I just finished Playing By Heart by Anne Mateer.
On audiobook I’m listening to Under the Greenwood Tree by Thomas Hardy, narrated by Margaret Hilton and The Fleet Street Murders by Charles Finch, narrated by James Langton.
Currently I’m reading Call the Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times by Jennifer Worth and Love Unexpected by Jody Hedlund.
Up next will probably by A Most Inconvenient Marriage by Regina Jennings and A Royal Marriage by Rachelle McCalla (Love Inspired).

I have like all of Anne Mateer’s books for different reasons, but I think my favorite is her first one, Wings of a Dream. Her books are gentle and sweet in the romance department, but she really researches the time period and makes it come to life. They’re actually more historical fiction than romance.
Artist Librarian, I love Julie Klassen’s books and own them all. I really enjoyed Siri Mitchell’s Love Comes Calling. It made me go look up telephone operator information and videos on line. I think that job sounds like fun. Like a Flower in Bloom sounds wonderful. I read your review for it and put your review site on my Feedly blogroll.

Sylvia, I read Call the Midwife last year (for my “memoir” category) and really enjoyed it.
Jen, thanks for the reviews of the Klassen and Ladd books—both of those are on my radar to read this year.

I’m a little over half-way through with Call the Midwife and am enjoying it, except for that graphic description with the prostitutes. I did not need that information/mental picture in my brain. It definitely emphasizes how much those people need Jesus and will do anything to find love and make money. Even though that section was nasty, it certainly broke my heart for the people that really live like that. Especially the girls that have been brought into that lifestyle as children. It’s all they have ever known.
