Fiction is Folks by Robert Newton. He taught me how to create my villain and bring him to life. As well as my other characters, of course!

The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Character by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi because I use it all the time when I am trying to ‘show’ rather than ‘tell’
