Teaser Tuesday: Under the Dome by Stephen King (Part 2–It’s a LONG book!)

Tuesday, July 9, 2013

tteTeaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page (or your current page)
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

Under the Dome
Andi switched the bag to her other arm again. Her knitting was inside; so was the VADER file and the .38 her brother Twitch had given her for home protection. She thought it would serve just as well for town protection.

“She had read an account of the daring travels of the Russian princess Catherine Dashkov. Reading about the princess’s exploits had inspired Emma’s rare act of bravery-or foolishness-whichever the letter had been.” The Tutor’s Daughter by Julie Klassen

Anna Davison Keller wanted to be the oldest person in the world. She felt she was owed this distinction, due to the particular care she’d taken with the vessel God had given her.

I forgot to put the name of the book. It is The Roots of the Olive Tree by Courtney Miller Santo.
