Friday Web Roundup: Words to the Wise; Lizzie Bennet and Zombies
For some reason, since the beginning of the year, by the end of the week, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to do a Friday Web Roundup post. So I figured I’d take a few minutes to rectify that today.
20 Words You Didn’t Know Were Inspired by People
From bloomers to silhouettes, this article explores words that originated with people’s names.
20 Words We Owe to William Shakespeare

Warm Bodies
Find it; see it (currently in theaters). Best romantic comedy I’ve seen since the era of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movies!

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries
This is my new obsession. I’ve already watched the entire series (the large portion of it that’s been posted, anyway) twice. This is the best modern adaptation of Jane Austen EVER! BuzzFeed called it “YouTube’s Hidden Masterpiece Theater.”

I love the Lizzie Bennet Diaries! I discovered them when there were only about 15 videos and I have been watching faithfully ever since! I love finding other fans!

Warm Bodies is the best romantic comedy you’ve seen since the Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan era?? Wow! I have never been interested in zombies, but my husband is a huge fan, and when I saw the preview for this movie I thought it looked interesting, funny, different. Definitely going on the “to watch” list especially after your assessment. 🙂

Love the Lizzie Bennet Diaries! They’re so awesome. I love how they’re fleshing out the characters (especially Lydia…have you seen her vlogs?) and the way they’ve modernized the story. I just find adaptations of other stories so exciting and this was one of the best I’ve seen yet!
