Team USA’s Olympics Opening Ceremony Uniforms

Really? High spiked heels for the female athletes? Skirts? What is this? 1954? Why can’t the women wear pants just like the men do? (Okay, okay, in the photo of the actual clothing, not the designer’s sketch, she’s wearing the same kind of white oxford shoes the men are wearing, but still.)

Oh, I’m liking the purple for the cover of Follow the Heart. 🙂

I believe I’ve read the Olympic uniforms are inspired by the last time the Olympics were in London back in 1948.

I totally agree with all of the “Lefty” issues. The desks in college. I always had to have 2, one for my book-the one I sat in and the one next to me for my notes. There happened to be some rooms that had “left-handed desks” I ran to those. Still needed some place for my book, especially math classes. I have a hard time living in a right handed world. Everything is made for right handed people. The worst one is the having ink all over your hand. I never use markers, it just isn’t worth it.

Your cover is really intriguing. I am looking forward to reading the book.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the cover! Looks awesome.

I like the Olympic uniforms. They’re classic and classy. Except for the berets, not a big fan of those. Nothing screams French more than a beret. Straw panama hats would have been a better choice. I especially like that the women are wearing 40’s style skirts.

I think the skirts are really a nice in the uniforms…thank goodness the actual shoes are flats though! LOL!
