Such a tough question! As a kid, I wanted to be Arrietty from The Borrowers (finally getting a movie made). Which, as an adult I still think would be very cool, but then again there’s also Lady Firebird from Kathy Tyers Firebird trilogy. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read the books and imagined myself in them. Strangely, I’ve also done the same with Lori Wick’s The Princess book. Something about the modern day arranged marriage to Prince Nikolai really resonated with me. Oh, and of course I’d love to be Kale from Donita K. Paul’s Dragon Keepers series. I so want my very own pocket dragon. 🙂

Have you read the follow up books to the Firebird trilogy?

Net yet 😦 I haven’t had the money to spend, but I’m on pins and needles. I want the Annotated Firebird too. I had a cow when I saw she had new books, had been hoping for that for a long time. Have you read them? Any good?

“The DragonKeeper Chronicles” is one of my favorites too! I’d love to be Kale … =)

Donita K. Paul rocks. I got my whole family hooked on them, young and old. We have animated discussions about which pocket dragon is the coolest and which ones we’d have if we could. I’m of the opinion, why choose. I want a whole set. 🙂

As a child I wanted to climb the magic faraway tree so from childhood would have been one of the children (I forget there names now) an Enid Blyton book. Or Lucy in the Narnia books.

My first thought was to be Marion in The MusicMan as its my favourite movie.

Irene Adler… who wouldn’t want to be the only person who beat Sherlock Holmes?? A companion to Dr. Who would be pretty cool too…. but your chances of getting knocked off are pretty high.

When I was little I was all about reruns of “Daniel Boone,” and constantly pretended to be Rebecca Boone. I so wanted to be a pioneer girl. Now? That’s a tough one. Honestly, I think I’d pick “Beauty and the Beast,” and have all those enchanted household objects keeping me company!

I would be Cheney from the Cheney Duvall M.D. series by Gilbert Morris. I love her adventurous nature and how strong she is and she gets to be loved by Shiloh. ‘sigh’ 🙂

And she does all of this wearing beautifully coordinated clothes with matching hats and gloves. 🙂

As for tv shows, Samantha Carter from Stargate SG-1 would have to be my top pic. Funny, brilliant, likable and not to mention beautiful. Plus, traveling through wormholes to explore new worlds? Amazing. I wouldn’t sneeze at having her team either. Jack, Daniel and T’ealc make great looking co-workers. 🙂

I love all of Karen Kingsbury’s books, especially the ones about the Baxter family. I would love to be Katy married to the movie star, Dayne Matthews.

    Great question!

Books: Someone already mentioned Kale Allerion from “The DragonKeeper Chronicles” and “Narnia” –though I’d be Jill … she’s my favorite (I’m so disappointed that it looks like Walden Media isn’t going to get to “The Silver Chair”). From the Star Wars novels, I’d be a Jedi –like Jaina Solo or Tenel Ka, and I’d definitely change some of their decisions, LOL.

TV shows: Stargate fans! Awesome –I liked “Stargate Atlantis” the best, so it’s a toss up between my favorite characters: Teyla Emmagan or Dr. Jennifer Keller (except I don’t think I’d want to end up with McKay …) =P

I’ve been re-watching cartoon I loved in middle school –Digimon– so that’s been on my mind. Explore a new world and get your own cute “digital monster” which can grow into the ultimate defender (and then it’ll go back to it’s cute and cuddly form when the danger is past –beat that Pokemon!) =P
I’d be Kari Kamiya from season 1& 2 or Jeri Katou from season 3 …

No one mentioned BBC’s “Merlin” but I’d probably want to be Merlin’s girlfriend (even though she doesn’t really exist, LOL) … *sigh* 😉

Merlin is rather geekalicious. I like his sense of humor. The whole cast plays off well against one another. So far though, the only hint we’ve had of a love interest for merlin, was the poor girl cursed to be a beast at night in the Epi Lady of the Lake. http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi2792003865/

      Tragic.
