It’s Open Mic Wednesday. What’s on your mind?
GRIMM season premiere in one word . . . AWESOME!
I regret not sticking with this show last season and might have to figure a way to get caught up. I chose to watch Once Upon a Time instead of this because I wasn’t sure about the weirdness of Grimm, but then Once Upon a Time fell flat for me and Grimm seems to be picking up steam.
What will you watch now that the Olympics are over but the fall TV schedule hasn’t started yet?
I have Amazon Prime now, and noticed the series Angel (by Joss Whedon) is free to stream. Anyone ever seen that? Like it? Is it worth getting started with it? I never watched Buffy, and don’t plan to.
I enjoyed Buffy more than Angel. And I don’t know if you could understand all the nuances of the relationships in Angel if you haven’t seen Buffy—but since I’d already watched all of Buffy before I watched Angel, I may not be the best person to say.
I checked it out. Not for me, I think.
I have a DVR filled with USA series, White Collar, Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness and Burn Notice. I need at least 4 complete days to catch up on all of the shows. Thinking a DVR marathon is much needed.
I catch Covert Affairs and White Collar on Hulu.com, and have seen the first two of each show. They won’t release the rest for a month, which I think ends on the 24th, then it will be one show weekly, albeit a month behind the broadcast schedule, but I have no problem waiting. We’ve already bought the first ep of Leverage Season 5 on Amazon. That’s our favorite show and waiting until NEXT summer to see that on DVD is likely going to prove too hard to do, when we can buy them. Going to try and save them for special occasions though. :)
UGH!! I’m in Olympic withdrawal. I enjoy them so much and watch as much as I possibly can to the very end. But I am glad to be getting to bed at a decent hour again. I haven’t watched TV since they ended Sunday. None of the fall shows are calling to me either so probably won’t add anything to our weekly lineup.
Here a lot of new shows started but not many catch my imagination. I am catching up on the final episodes of Once Upon a Time, Also we have the final of the Amazing Race Australia.
Also All Stars Masterchef. We seem to have a lot reality shows starting also.
Got my sister into Downton Abbey. We only have the Christmas episode to watch. Beyond that… not sure. Can. Not. Wait for the return of Person of Interest.
Went to see THE BOURNE LEGACY Saturday afternoon with the gals. At least as good as IDENTITY, not quite as good as SUPREMACY, but miles better than ULTIMATUM. Can’t wait to see if they do an Aaron Cross trilogy!
We saw really enjoyed The Bourne Legacy Saturday night. We didn’t expect much going in, thinking we wouldn’t like it because of the absence of Matt Damon. But Jeremy Renner is a great choice to carry on “the Bourne legacy”! The writers did an excellent job of connecting the stories and informing us of what’s actually happening with the men in the program. Oops almost gave a spoiler. :)) I recommend this movie for action lovers.
Hoping to see it soon.
In honor of getting ready for Star Wars Celebration VI next week in Orlando, have any of you been to a gathering of something you love (be it a convention, conference, etc)?
