Reading-Chat Monday: What Upcoming Books Are You Excited About?

Any reader worth her salt can get really excited when she hears about a new book coming out from a favorite author, in a favorite series, or one that’s brand-new to her but just tickles her fancy.
So let’s talk about some books like that today.
What are some upcoming books that you’re really excited about? So excited, in fact, that you may have already pre-ordered them, or you’ll request the galley from the author or publisher or Net Galley as soon as it’s available so that you don’t have to wait until the actual pub date to read it?

I have preordered a few LI books. I have Virginia Smiths next LIS on preorder.
but I am really looking forward to Mary Connealy’s next book. Shattered Silence by Margaret Daley, Lady in the Making by Susan Page Davis.

After reading the first 4 books in Mel Starr’s Hugh de Singleton series, I am “patiently” (ha ha ha) the fifth installment, slated for December.

“Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance” by Lois McMaster Bujold (always a good year when there’s a new Bujold out!) and “Dragon Ship” by Lee & Miller (ditto!). I’m such a spec. fic. fan and those are my favorite spec. fic. authors, so I have them pre-ordered and am ready to fight my husband over who gets to read them first! 😉

Recently released (but “upcoming” for me as I’m waiting for it to come to my local library or until it’s really cheap on Kindle :0)– “The Explicit Gospel” by Matt Chandler.

One of them is sitting in my inbox right now as a PDF file. The fourth book in Joan Hochstetler’s American Revolution series. The other big one I’m excited about should be arriving any day now, MaryLu Tyndal’s new one Veil of Pearls.
The next one is, of course, the first book in the Great Exhibition series. And Trinity by Ronie Kendig. And of course Julie Lessman’s next one.
