It’s Open Mic Wednesday. What’s on your mind?

Only nine more shopping days until Christmas. Have you finished your shopping yet? What are you wishing for this year?

What “bad writers” do you like? I’d have to pick J. K. Rowling for mine. Horrible technique, killer characters, plot, and storytelling.

Mary Higgins Clark, Victoria Holt, etc. All the plots are basically the same, but like coming across the movie “Sleepless in Seattle,” once I start one, I can’t put it down. Like the article said, sometimes we just want to gallop through a story. Escape is the name of the game.

    Christmas?

I have to admit I’m kind of looking past Christmas in a sense toward 2011. I have something big lined up courtesy of the big guy. (Well, big for me anyway.) Plus I get to parody LeBron James tomorrow night which is going to amuse me. :)

As for the link you put up, I think the biggest “bad writer” for me is Douglas Adams. (Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy)

I know what you mean about looking past Christmas. As much as I’m looking forward to time with family and friends, I know that if I don’t get this book submitted soon, I’ll never do it. And that’s just not an option. 2011 is the year.

Still have more shopping to do – - due to still recuperating from spinal surgeries, I have to “pace myself” with errands, LOL. ~ I’ve already received my “Christmas presents” this year!! A new Son-in-law (who I ADORE!!!) AND……a straight SPINE!! Thanks to the Lord working through the hands of my Neurosurgeon in June, I have a completely re-built spine and no longer have to walk “stooped over” like I’m 100 years old. God is soooo GOOD!! ~ Blessings from COLD Georgia, Patti Jo :)
P.S. Continued prayers for you, Kaye – - as you heal.

Patti, it sounds like you have so much to praise God for! Bless you!
