Well I go in to take a written test so i can get my Temps on Friday, I’m super excited!
And I have to do a bunch of school today, and then me and a few of my siblings and mom are going down to my Grandpa’s house because we have to box stuff up for an auction.(he died like a week ago.)
And this weekend I’m watching my nephew. Saturday to Sunday, and I plan on watching a bunch of movies, and just doing nothing.(Hopefully he’ll sleep a bunch. If not we’ll have fun anyway…)
So I dont know what else is happening or what is on my mind….(although its 8:00 in the morning and I already want to take a nap.)
I really hope I get some books in the mail from the library today though!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
What’s “Temps” and what kind of test do you have to take to get it?
So sorry to hear about your grandpa.
Have fun with your nephew. How old is he? What movies do you have picked out? Any kind of Halloween/Fall Festival things you could take him to this weekend?
Good morning Kaye! We are having really strange weather here in Georgia (no surprise there, LOL). Yesterday it was super warm and humid – I kept looking at my calendar to make sure it’s really late October!! ~ I’m hoping to finish my current WIP today, then go back and begin editing the entire story. ~ I have to count my blessings…it’s been 4 months since I had my 4 spinal surgeries, and God is SO amazing!! I am feeling so much better and getting stronger each week – Praise the Lord!!
Blessings, Patti Jo
It’s wonderful to hear that you’re feeling so much better after your back surgery. I went through almost a year of physical therapy and cortisone shots after my ruptured discs were diagnosed before my surgery, and within ten days after surgery, I had to wonder why I’d waited so long!
Late September/beginning of October gave me hope for a nice long autumn—with the lower than normal temperatures. Then it was back to a month of higher than normal temperatures. It definitely hasn’t felt like fall around here, either. But a cool front came through yesterday (the temperature dropped 20 degrees in about 15 minutes), and another one comes through tonight or tomorrow. Can’t wait!
I’m ready for it to get cold & STAY cold. I’m tired of having to run my air conditioning at night just to get the temperature to a livable 70 degrees! And with the humidity factored in from the recent rain even that’s a stretch. *sigh*
In other news…loved Chuck and Castle and Hawaii Five-O this week.
I had to have my AC on again last night, even though the outdoor temp was in the 50s. I’m ready to be able to turn it off and put my heavy denim comforter on the bed and let it get cold in the house at night (during the winter, I keep the heater on but turned all the way down to 60 overnight).
H50 was pretty good this week—although as soon as I saw Kevin Sorbo, I knew he was going to be the bad guy (since I knew he wasn’t going to be the victim from watching the previews). That’s the formula that the Law & Order franchise has used for however many years it’s been now. The celebrity guest is either the victim or the perpetrator.
Yeah, I was quite disappointed that the temp inside my house didn’t reflect the outdoor temp better. Though, when it’s *really* cold I will probably appreciate the house’s ability to retain a few degrees of warmth, I’m sure. I’m just so sick of heat and humidity and running the air conditioner, though!!! *rant over for now*
Since I watch H5O On Demand, I have been missing the teaser previews, but as soon as I saw Kevin Sorbo I just knew he was gonna be the baddie too, just because he was there. LOL! I should try the H5O Bingo, thanks for the tip!
BTW…I’m having friend withdrawals. Looking forward to when we can grab some dinner & hang out!!!
And I still have the other half of your birthday present to give you, too! (Are you liking Netflix? Finding anything interesting?)
I’m determined to get this book finished THIS WEEK. I’ve plotted out the next five chapters and so should be able to get through those today. Then I’ll only have between eight and ten chapters to go.
Oh–and he does a follow up post the day after with his marked up Bingo board. I’ve been pretty close both weeks (I missed the “Apple product placement” this week).
Chuck was interesting this week—though it would have had more “bang” to it if they hadn’t shown his mother shooting him in the previews (in which, at least on my HD TV, I could see the bullet-proof vest in the previews).
But why didn’t Chuck pick up the teddy bear and take it in to Ellie? I SO wanted him to do that.
My mind is spinning several scenarios in which Mama Bartowski is being set up, by either or both sides.
And I absolutely LOVED Morgan’s little Casey-like grunt when he got the phone call from Lester. The Casey-Morgan dynamic is genius.
Maybe Chuck didn’t want Ellie to know that she missed seeing her by inches, and yet again Chuck was the only one having contact with their mom?
OR since he didn’t bring the bear, maybe Ellie would have assumed he just received a phone call, and there would be no more need for explanation of what happened out front?
OR maybe he was so thrown emotionally (by learning his mom was not the person he thought) that he couldn’t bring himself to deliver the gift?
Not sure, but it definitely made me wonder what I would have done, had I been writing that script!
BTW, the scene in the parking garage was pretty clever with Casey, Morgan and the courier; the way they had Morgan thoughtlessly disarm the guy and hand the weapon to Casey, and Casey’s reaction? Excellent.
Also, excellent choice to have Casey not tell Morgan about the damaging info in the file, and then call Sarah. Casey was very strong, suave and debonair in that quick discussion, and it was smart to set it up outdoors, at night, secret location. Nice moment.
Yeah, I thought about the possibility that he didn’t pick up the teddy bear because he didn’t want Ellie to know that he’d actually seen their mom outside the restaurant but she hadn’t come in. That might have actually hurt Ellie more, thinking that her mom didn’t want to see her—not that she couldn’t because she’d been taken by Sarah and Casey.
Oh man I wish it was hot up here!
I live in WI and its rainy and snowy today. I was hoping it wouldn’t snow for another month but that didn’t happen:-(
That’s OK i guess….
Thus the reason why I live in Tennessee and complain about how hot and long the summers are . . . because I don’t want to live “up North” where it starts snowing in October. That happened the several years I lived in Northern Virginia and that was enough “North” for me!
What’s on my mind (besides being HIDEOUSLY late to the party)? Mostly that I’ve got people reading my manuscript before sending to PEOPLE to read. I’m going nuts wondering what they’re thinking about it. Maybe they’re asleep with boredom?
Then there’s the class on Christian Fiction that I’ve been asked to present to some librarians for CE credit in Lexington. I’m excited about that. The research has been fantastic.
Chuck was fantastic. My favorite part was when Morgan asked what his “name” was, and Casey told him, “Magnet.” LOL Not quite the KIND of magnet he was hoping for . . .
Castle? Not quite as good as last week. I still can’t stop thinking about Beckett breaking him out of jail . . .

I’ve also been playing H50 Bingo, from EW, every week:

Makes watching the show just that much more campy and fun!

Oh, I was wondering about the teddy bear too!
It’ll be really interesting to see where the show takes the Mama B. storyline – I was getting whiplash from the possibilities Monday night!
And I agree – LOVE the Casey/Morgan “partnership”! They are so funny together!

Oh i did get books today!
Fit To Be Tied by Robin Lee Hatcher and Jenna’s Cowboy by Sharon Gillenwater.
I cant WAIT to read them!!
Your library mails books to you? How convenient!
