White Christmas, hands down. I cry every time when the general enters and his old regiment sings, "We'll follow the old man...."

But I also love Miracle on 34th Street (the original), The Grinch (the live action with Jim Carrey-way over the top, but I love it!), The Preacher's Wife (the remake with Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington), and of course, Peanut's Christmas. If I see all of those, my Christmas season feels complete.

I've only ever seen a bits and pieces of A Christmas Story - I may have seen the whole thing though in those bits and pieces. Not a movie that really ever appealed to me. But I'm thinking that I need to pull out some Christmas movies - that sounds like a blast. This year Christmas will be yucky (no family) and I'm not sure if I'm going to anyone's house or not so it'll be an interesting day for sure.

Oh, yay! I don't have the 2-disc version of Meet Me in St. Louis - just the 1st disc, it came as part of a 3-movie collection I got several years ago. But my mom has the 2-disc version, if I ever get a hankering to watch the special features. :)

Well, I've been perusing my Christmas movie collection since I left this comment, and I want to throw a few other favorites out there (since White Christmas is a deservedly #1 pick in my view, but it's not shocking as you say...LOL!):

Holiday Affair (Janet Leigh & Robert Mitchum)
Christmas in Connecticut (Barbra Stanwyck)
Holiday Inn
Silent Night (made-for-TV movie about German & Allied soldiers who meet over Christmas)
Joyeux Noel (about the 1915 Christmas truce during WW1)

I saw a new-to-me one recently on TCM - Remember the Night starring Fred MacMurray and Barbra Stanwyck. I really enjoyed it - I think TCM is scheduled to reshow it 1 or 2 more times between now and Christmas.

Oh, and Christmas Card...liked...kinda. It made a big deal about the guy getting the girl's card and him going all over to find her...I was thinking some Somewhere in Time kinda thing, and then I watch it and bam, in the first five minutes, he's there with her. And I DID NOT CARE FOR the heroine. Loved the hero, though, which gave me the stomach to watch the whole thing through. It was ok, just not what the back cover made it out to be.

I'm a movie junkie, so Christmas movies are always a must-do thing.

My favorites:

-A Christmas Carol (1951, love, love love. Defining version)
-Muppet's Christmas Carol (completely ADORE.
-Ms. Scrooge (Fun seeing the black woman/modern twist. A little more politically correct at times than I cared for, but fun.)
-It's a Wonderful Life (A-D-O-R-E. I know, kill me... ;-) )
-Miracle on 34th Street (old version...kill me again)
-Shop Around the Corner (LOVE LOVE LOVE)
-Christmas Child (love love love)
-A Christmas Story (finally got to this! I do love this movie. The scene where he lays the magazines around for his parents to see was exactly what I did the Christmas I was five and wanted an American Girl doll ;-) )
-How the Grinch Stole Christmas (ditto to the commenter about the new one. Cartoon only. I remember watching it when it wasn't out on VHS yet. I can remember the commercial breaks and what they were. I know, I'm not that old, but still.)
-The Homecoming (the Waltons fought a lot more than I like, grrrrr but still love this)
- Home Alone (prefer John Hughes' 101 Dalmations but still love this. The kid's a brat, but hey, it's funny.)
-White Christmas (love Bing Crosby. And he's the only guy who should be allowed to sing White Christmas, IMO.)
-Meet Me in St. Louis (favorite Christmas song)
-Meet John Doe (loved this one)
-Going My Way (another Bing Crosby I love.)
Lots of others I can't think of right at this moment... ;-) Anyway. Yeah. Loved the video clips you put up here! Hahaha. I love the A+ scene....she writes it all across the chalkboard and across the room...
