PS: I wish it was remotely possible for me to attend the ACFW conference. I've never been to one. But I reckoned the cost, and it was something like $1500, with the conference, air fare, hotel, and that's just the basics. No accounting for spending money, food on the plane, etc.

And that's checking air fare a month ago. Who knows what it's up to now? I can hardly afford to drive across town anymore!

What sort of questions are on the cover design questionnaire? Are they allowing you some say in the design?

Wouldn't it behoove a publishing house (or the copy editor, at least) to let their authors know in advance what their house style is regarding commas, and the like? Seems a simple note would take care of that, since the author is going over the manuscript for micro edits anyway.

The editing process sounds like it would be fun and enlightening from what I've heard from other first-time sellers. Can't wait until I get to experience it.

Do let us know ALL about it, Kaye. I'll live vicariously through you until it's my turn, God willing.
