Reading my way through Anne Perry's two Victorian mystery series (Monk, and the Charolotte/Thomas Pitt series).

A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseini (audio version).

Started reading Silent in the Grave, by Deanna Raybourn last night. Great hook in the opening sentences.

Just found out there are two new books from Alexander McCall Smith (a Mma Ramotswe and an Isabel Dalhousie). Plan to add those to my pile, in audio form if possible.

A while back I bought a whole bunch of books - but then I've started reviewing - so they went on the backburner. Oh well, I am reading, just not the ones I started out to read :)

Currently reading Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes and On Writing Horror, edited by Mort Castle.
TBR soon: King's Duma Key, Gaiman's Stardust, Frankenstein.
We'll have to see what comes after that.
I do want to spend a lot of the second half of the year working through some classic horror. I also have several writing craft books I need to crack.
Okay, back to the Celtics whuppin' up on the Pistons.

My TBR pile is manageable this week, but new CFBA books ship soon and I ordered a boatload of those, so I'll be a busy girl.

I've completed and exceeded my goals for 2008 as far as reading writing craft books. Right now that is on hiatus while I write the next ms. I can't read craft books while I'm writing...it throws me out of my groove. :)

and I love my little purple cyclops guy that posts by my name.

I've been in a reading frenzy this year. That's why I joined Shelfari--so I could keep track. You have a great list! Sweet Caroline is one of my favorites this year--I laughed, I cried. And the cover of Lady of Milkweed Manor is absolutely GORGEOUS!
