This helps me with the dialogue, to make it sound realistic. And I need my Bic Crystal pen to make edits. I have a drawer in my new desk where I keep all of the research materials for double checking facts.

I too set chapter type goals when revising. Enough that I don’t get discouraged. I also tend to follow a thread through the story revising an entire storyline at one time rather than as I come to it.
